We will present several situations and go over how to use these concepts in scenes of your own. Either rope and a knowledge of basic column ties or leather straps or cuffs will be helpful in replicating the scenarios from this class, as will a pair of nipple clamps.

Chainmaille 101 with Morgan_le_Fay - Fairfield 1

Chainmaille 101 is a participation required, no late admittance, class on how to read chainmaille lingo, choose the right size jump ring for the project, effectively open and close jump rings, and more. This class will help you in making your own pendant which will be done during the class period. It is recommended that if you have pliers you prefer, please bring them, although all necessary supplies will be available, including rings, clasps, pliers and more. You will be working alone. Kits will be available for purchase for use in the Chainmaille 201 class at D&G.

Connecting and Dating Outside our Species: Is Vanilla a Bad Word? with Danie aka LionessinDC - Fairfield 3

The term “vanilla” is used to refer to someone who is not, by our definition, kinky. We have all heard it, often being used in a negative way. But let’s face it: the world is full of vanilla people. Is it possible to form functional emotional and/or erotic relationships with them? Our presenter has been in a happy and sometimes challenging relationship with a monogamous non-kinkster for over 20 years. We will talk about relationships across the flavor line, including discussing our needs (and those of our partners) and ways to get them met in the longer term.

Under Pressure: The Science in Kink with MrStriker - Fairfield 4

Settle down, class! This lecture will take you on a quick tour through the science of force, pressure, impact, and friction, and how they all apply to various kinks (such as bondage, impact, pressure points, vac beds, even electrical play and tight clothing). We’ll keep the math to a minimum (but there will be a little!), and there will be lots of demonstrations. 30% of your final grade will come from homework, 30% from quizzes, and 40% from your final project. In this event, you’ll roll for a random character and then embark on a random adventure where the encounters are made up and the XP doesn’t matter. All supplies will be provided including dice, pencils, and index cards, but please feel free to bring your own if you feel so inclined. This will be 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons set in the theater of the mind, meaning maps and minis will not be used except for reference items.

We will be taking a vote at the table of possible scenarios. I will have disclaimers about the topics so that if anyone wants to sit it out, but still wants to watch, they can. You just need to bring your enthusiasm, a snack and a beverage. Price of admission includes a pencil, dice, character sheets, dice box, etc. (might even have a couple extra surprise items in there too!) You will also be entered for a raffle! I will have pre-made characters. However, if you would like to make one ahead of time, we will need to meet up an hour ahead of time to make sure there’s enough time. The Longest Night Masque Salon - Fairfield 3 & 4

The Longest Night Midwinter Masque is delighted to be joining the 2025 Dungeons and Geekdoms event. The setting of Jacquelyn Carey’s Kushiel’s Legacy series is a lush, sensual fantasy world where the prime tenet for many is to “Love As Thou Wilt.”

At the 2025 Dungeons and Geekdoms event, the Longest Night Masque staff will be hosting a salon, following the Friday evening Pub Sing dinner, in the style of the D’Angeline Court of Night Blooming Flowers – a hedonistic collective of thirteen Houses devoted to pleasure. At the salon, Adepts from the Night Court will take the role of entertaining patrons with conversation, dance, and Renaissance games.

The three-hour salon will be broken down as follows:

30 minutes - Meet the Adepts in a sophisticated speed dating style mixer
30 minutes - One of the TLNM Dowaynes will lead a period dance workshop to teach three Medieval or Renaissance period dances for the Adepts and Patrons to learn and enjoy
45 minutes - Two of the TLNM Dowaynes will lead the Living Chess Game
15 minutes - Patrons and Adepts are encouraged to mingle and enjoy period music and conversation
30 minutes - Showings (demos) arranged and performed by TLNM Dowaynes will occur in stages around the room to demonstrate various interpretations of pleasure, perhaps including but not limited to gentle flogging, simple decorative rope bondage, erotic dance, and living still life modeling.
30 minutes - Wind down period with music and Renaissance games

Over these three hours, lose yourself in the sophisticated, sensual world of Carey’s Terre D’Ange and enjoy your dessert with the Court of Night Blooming Flowers (however, you don’t have to be a fan of the series to attend).

You will be working alone. Kits will be a required part of this class and will be sold at the end of the 101 class and beginning of the 201 class. Kits will be $25 and contain two pliers, a clasp, 2 packages of rings, your choice of colors, and a work cloth.

What are the long-term repercussions of play? If it doesnʼt cause immediate injury, are we still setting ourselves up for problems down the road? Iʼm a top, what could be happening to me? Letʼs face it, as much as we might wish it so, one day we will no longer be in our 20s, but hopefully we’ll still be inhabiting our body. How can our play today impact the long-term health of our body? While there isnʼt a lot of research available on BDSM play and long-term health concerns, there is research from other traumatic (yes, even if we enjoy it, our physical being might be experiencing trauma) events on the body. We’ll discuss play, research, and then suggest some ways to assess and modify (if needed) your risk exposure. This class works best when attendees are open to sharing their concerns, experiences, and maybe even getting some of their techniques looked at to improve play ergonomics.

We will be discussing the different circumstances and/or preferences people may have that lead them to be in asexual dynamics and what these dynamics may look like.

Session 0: the Importance of Consent in D&D with Dev - Essex

It's likely that if you're here you've negotiated a scene before. We all ask ourselves questions like: "What do I want to do?," or "Do I want to do something to my partner or have them do something to me?," or "What feelings do I want to experience?" and then going from there into detail of what kinks you'll touch on: rope, impact, power exchange, sex, etc. Then it becomes a discussion with your partner(s) about how your needs and wants, along with theirs, will be met. This presentation will touch on the importance of discussing the content of your upcoming TTRPG game (your scene), starting by setting expectations of what will, can, can't and won't happen therein. It is not just what you as a game master want to happen, though as the one crafting the world your players interact in, you may have more input than the others at your table. It is a collaborative experience, letting you each bring something to the table to enrich your shared experience.

We will be taking a vote at the table of possible scenarios. I will have disclaimers about the topics so that if anyone wants to sit it out, but still wants to watch, they can. You just need to bring your enthusiasm, a snack and a beverage. Price of admission includes a pencil, dice, character sheets, dice box, etc. (might even have a couple extra surprise items in there too!) You will also be entered for a raffle! I will have pre-made characters. However, if you would like to make one ahead of time, we will need to meet up an hour ahead of time to make sure there’s enough time. For a good session we will need at least 3 hours, so be prepared for that. We’ll have a 10 minute break as close to the 1.5 hour mark that we can reach a stopping point at. So dress comfortably too! When we think of service, our minds tend to go to certain places on the service spectrum: domestic, administrative, sexual, and waitstaff-based services all come to mind quickly and usually are focusing on the right side of the slash. Often forgotten are the service contributions from the left side of the slash, as well as looking at what drives people from both sides of the slash to want to serve. All of these areas will be covered and discussed with interactive exercises to help you learn more about your feelings towards service and what you might be looking to receive from serving or being served.
